We are showcasing our new book called
My Momma Comes Back.
It is a book about building trust when you have to leave your child in child care or with family. It is a hard cover book with colorful illustrations, an original song, and an audio book which contains the song.
This book was written by a 74 year old retired teacher who is a great-grandmother. It is a 4 generational family project.
First, there's Bella--a 2 year old who adores her momma and has normal feeling of separation when being left at child care or with family.
Next, there's Momma--a 20 year old single mom who is a junior in college and has a part time job. It breaks her heart to leave her child, but she knows that their future depends on her getting an education.
Then, there's Granny--a social worker and loving caregiver. She makes up a song to comfort Bella and make her feel safe.
Finally, there's Great-Grandma--a retired teacher who hears Bella sing her song. The song inspires her to write the story and produce this family project.
